Read-A-Thon has taken on many faces as SAGE has developed however it has always been about reading to children. SAGE has been lucky to find an ally in the Urbana Free Library. We are teaming up for the second year to bring a day of reading and fun to children in the Champaign-Urbana area. On Febuary 7 SAGE members will be on hand in the Children's section to read to kids and lead arts and craft activities. The theme this year will be Reading Rocks!

Library Book Drive is an annual donation that SAGE gives to schools in need to buy books and other supplies. Each year SAGE sends out applications to schools who in turn fill them out and send them back. These applications are easy to fill out and give SAGE a sense of each school. From these applications SAGE chooses, based upon need, the schools to donate to, usually giving between 50-200 dollars for books.

 This semester SAGE has already started receiving applications and has 3,000 dollars to donate to schools in need. Our money from donations comes from fund raising work SAGE has done. SAGE Pizza Sales take place at the Education Building on select dates from 11-1pm. Come join us for inexpensive and hot Pizza and Pop from One World Pizza. All donations go to the Library Book Drive and Read-A-Thon which help raise money for schools in need in the local area. Education students can help support the schools they could be teaching in the future.
